Personal Trainer Study Guide

This is a resource for trainers looking to broaden their understanding for any certification.

For the past 5+ years I have dedicated time to helping trainers navigate the fitness industry to see the success that I have had. Along the way one reoccurring theme has been frustration with getting into the industry and getting certified.

My first certification experience

When I first decided to get certified, I tried the ACE certification. I opened the book, and as soon as I saw this image, I got intimidated.

This is the truth for many trainers, these types of images show up  and this is usually the point where aspiring personal trainers get very nervous about the exam.

While this is very important to understand, this isn’t always the focus of the exam.

Remember there is a lot of information that has to be included to meet the needs of the accrediting authority, but you won’t have to relay this information in a day to day practice.

 

I don’t like reading books THAT much

In my first certification experience, I found myself stuck in certain chapters for hours.  This course can simplify your study focus so you can better absorb information.

    So Valuable!

    Really gives you a great idea of what to expect on the NASM exam and provides good techniques on memorizing and remembering the important information. There is so much information to remember for this exam and this course helps prioritize your study efforts. Worth every penny!

    I graduated college 5 years ago with a BS in Kinesiology. Purchased the NASM self taught package 4 years ago and ended up taking my career in a different direction half way through reading the book. 4 months ago, I decided to come back to personal training. I read the whole book, but still lacked the confidence to take the test. This course by Jon hit the spot and really made all the information easy to lock down. I recommend taking the practice test first to get your brain subconsciously thinking about things

    I was having trouble reading the NASM book as the content can get quite dense and dull. The study guide and video in this course have been my only supplies for studying outside of one or two NASM apps on my phone and I passed pretty comfortably. I would recommend this to anyone looking to pass as it's better and cheaper than any other resource your going to find in my opinion.
